The Hazelwood Hawks are set to launch their new season this week, with teams across the club preparing for opening fixtures in the Basketball Northern Ireland leagues. Excitement is building as players, coaches, and supporters gear up for what promises to be another competitive campaign.

The action begins with the Senior Men’s team, who face a tough opening test on the road against Omagh Thunder BC in BNI Division 1. The game takes place on Thursday, 9th October at 8:15pm, and the Hawks will be hoping to make a strong statement to start their season.

On Saturday, 11th October, two of the Hawks’ junior teams get their campaigns underway in the Titanic Quarter leagues. The U14 Boys open against Tyrone Towers BC 1 in the U14 Boys Titanic Quarter A Division, tipping off at 2:15pm. At the same time, the U16 Boys will face North Star-Warriors 2 in the U16 Boys Titanic Quarter B Division. Both fixtures promise to showcase the depth of young talent coming through the Hawks’ programme.

The opening weekend concludes with the U18 Boys, who travel to face Queens BC 1 in the U18 Titanic Quarter Boys A Division on Sunday, 12th October at 10:30am. The squad will be eager to get their campaign off to a winning start against one of the division’s toughest sides.

With fixtures across all age groups, the Hawks family is ready to take flight once again. Coaches have been working hard in pre-season, and the players are prepared to show their skills on court. Supporters are encouraged to get behind the teams as the 2025/26 season tips off.
