The Hazelwood Hawks senior men’s team produced an emphatic performance on Tuesday night, defeating Queens BC 83–48 in a game defined by high energy and relentless transition play.
The Hawks burst out of the gates with a 24–6 opening quarter, setting the tone early with aggressive defence and quick outlets into fast-break opportunities. The improvement in transition offence was clear to see, as the team consistently turned rebounds and steals into easy scores at the other end.
Hazelwood Hawks BC currently boast the most efficient attack in the league, scoring 165 points in just two games (82.5 points per game), a reflection of their fast tempo and unselfish team play.
Sam and Tobi led the charge offensively, combining for 43 points and linking up brilliantly to feed the rim runner. Their chemistry and decision-making in transition were key to maintaining the scoring rhythm across all four quarters.
