Everyone at Hazelwood Hawks Basketball Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of JJ Lafferty, father of our Senior Men’s player and U16 Boys Head Coach, Conor Lafferty.

JJ was a highly respected figure in the Donegal sporting community, a dedicated referee, coach, and stalwart of Carndonagh GAA, whose contribution to sport and his community was widely admired. Conor clearly takes after his dad with the commitment and support he shows to our club.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Conor, his family, and all who knew JJ during this very difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lafferty family.
