Each week, our coaches select standout performers from game-day action across all age groups. These players have demonstrated exceptional effort, teamwork, and leadership on the court.
This week’s Players of the Week come from the U12 Boys, U18 Boys, and Senior Men’s teams, while our U14 and U16 sides had no fixtures.
U12 Boys – Adam Hughes
Coach Gary praised Adam’s energy and commitment throughout the weekend:
“Adam brought fantastic energy at training on Saturday and set the tone defensively early in today’s game. He was able to get to the basket repeatedly for scoring opportunities.”
Adam’s defensive intensity and attacking drive helped his team maintain momentum in a key development match.
U18 Boys – Samuel Olatunbosun
Earning back-to-back Player of the Week honours, Sam once again impressed Coach Emanuil with his determination and scoring touch:
“Sam picks up POTW two weeks on the trot, putting up 42 points for the team in a tight battle! Even in his disappointment with the loss, he was trying to find ways to improve following the game.”
Sam’s leadership and relentless mindset continue to set the standard for his teammates.
Senior Men – Tobi Obalanlege
Coach Andy was full of praise for Tobi’s dominant performance on both ends of the floor:
“When Tobi gets out and runs the floor, he’s a different player. He picked up 19 points from running and shot well from the line! Defensively he’s strong and dominates on the boards. When he plays like that, I don’t even care that he’s a Coldplay fan!”
Tobi’s energy and physical presence were crucial in the Hawks’ strong performance this week.
No games were played this week for our U14 and U16 teams, but we look forward to seeing them back in action soon.
Well done to all our Players of the Week, keep up the hard work and determination as the season continues!
